Meet Rev. Amanda McCullough
– The English Vicar
Music stirs the soul…
… as the bride’s dress is unfurled and the smell of rose petals fills the air. Suddenly, you are floating in a dream come true. Whether you are planning an elegant wedding and elaborate reception, or a simple garden or beach ceremony, whatever your special event, it must awaken all your senses, it must delight in celebration, and it must speak of just how much this matters to you. Let me compose the words that will authenticate and accentuate your hopes.
About Rev. Amanda…
“Born in Windsor, I was baptized into the Church of England, confirmed into the Church of Wales and I studied for my first honors degree at a Methodist College. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Environmental Studies from the University of London, and I did my seminary training at La Sainte Union and Samaritan College in Europe.
During the past nineteen years I have served two congregations as senior pastor. All of which suggests I am qualified from a ‘churched’ point of view to officiate ceremonies. Actually what makes me far more qualified to help you is my heart! I genuinely care.
I am a seminary educated, ordained ecumenical minister. I offer religious, interfaith, spiritual, and civil ceremonies, both traditional and contemporary, in an inclusive language (with an English accent) that connects everyone. In 2017 I will celebrate 20 years of deeply rewarding experience officiating weddings in Wilmington and Coastal North Carolina.

“Bob and I were so blessed to find through our wedding and reception venue, the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach, NC, the wonderful and kind, Reverend Amanda McCullough. Luckily for us she was available to officiate our wedding with little time to prepare. Yet, Amanda made us feel as if she’d known us for much longer than she really had. She has a way of listening to and making you feel at ease and more than comfortable with her ability to deliver an amazing and touching ceremony. With her help and guidance, we believe our wedding was filled with warmth, love, and amazing memories. ”
